Round 5: It didn’t seem like a knockout, so we went into the fifth round. Each player delivered multiple punches. Silva seemed agile with his jumping and seemed quite composed. Silva waited for Sonnen to come forward, and when he did, Silva hit him with a combo. Sonnen came running, tied up with the ropes. The referee let him run for nearly 10 seconds before they separated. Sonnen’s nose was bleeding, so a brief timeout was taken to clear it up.Okay.
Silva delivered two jabs, spun, hit Sonnen almost nine times without receiving a response, and that was all she did in the final 20 seconds of the match. Sonnen raised his hands in the air, it seemed like he had fought five rounds. Silva felt like he hadn’t fought at all. A small part of old memories, but definitely no knockout, drag out case.
